Would you like your workshop or garage floor to look good for many years to come?
There are few things you need to know before engaging any flooring contractor.
- Preparation: Concrete floor whether it is new or old has to be cleaned and ground. The major reason is to help paint to penetrate concrete pores and to form a base coat. Without proper concrete preparation paint will not properly adhere to concrete surface and will become loose shortly after application .
- Selecting the right product: Do not settle for cheap domestic concrete sealers, as they are generally do not withstand vehicular traffic and in particular hot tyres, resulting in bubbling and chipping. Don’t waste your money on cheap flooring products. Try to use only Industrial grade 2 pack epoxies from leading brands. They are generally more expensive but the properly applied coating will last for years and will not fail, saving you money in a long run. What are Plug Gages?
A plug gauge is a gage that is used to check the size of a drilled hole. They can be used to check the hole for a GO or NOGO determination, to be sure that your drilled holes are meeting your design tolerances. Taperlock, Trilock, Reversible and Cylindrical Taper are all types of a plug gauge. Each type of plug gauge can be used for different kinds of drilled holes that might be created and each has its own features and purpose. Plug gages are well suited for use in the production area of the factory as they require little skill or interpretation to use effectively and have few, if any, moving parts to be damaged in the often hostile production environment.
What is a Bore Gage?
The difference between a plug gages and a bore gage is that a plug gage tells you if a drilled hole is accurate to a specific predetermined size and a bore gage measures the dimensions of the drilled hole. A bore gage can also measure variances in the diameter throughout the entire depth of the drilled hole. Continue reading ‘The Basics about Plug Gages and Bore Gages’ »

Gas prices soar and concerns grow over global warming, alternative fuel vehicles are gaining attraction. When it comes to cars, trucks, and SUVs, a hybrid is currently the most popular alternative to a gas powered engine. But when it comes to short-range travel, say 20 miles or less, an electric bike is a fun, economical, and environmentally friendly option. For only pennies, an electric bike can get you from place to place without breaking a sweat and without the hassles of traffic jamming.
An electric bike has pedals like any normal bicycle, and you can use those pedals to push yourself under your own power. But the electric bike also has an electric motor, which you can use to supplement your pedaling. The power is useful when starting from a stop or when riding up hills. Otherwise, you can let the electric motor provide all the power while you sit back and enjoy the ride. Continue reading ‘Electric Bike, the Perfect Transportation’ »
