Travel Trailers come in several sizes. They are the least expensive of the “onerous aspect” RVs. Most are spacious and well equipped. They do need a tow vehicle which could be a downside if you do not own one for the trailer size you want. Travel Trailers use a special hitch that causes the RV and tow vehicle to share the load. This eliminates the rear end sag of the tow vehicle. In our opinion Travel Trailers are great for summer vacations and weekends, however they are usually not equipped for cold weather. So, they’re not sometimes used for winter or Full Time RV’ing. Most models have slide out walls that increase the living space.
Recreational Vehicles or simply termed as RV’s are the most effective choice when looking for vehicles match for traveling. RV’s can be bespoke to the owner’s preferences or will be purchased with the design from the manufacturers. These are vehicles that serve as your home aloof from home. When traveling, camping, or visiting different places to spend time with the family we tend to generally don’t have places to stay. But once driving an RV there’s no worry since your family will spend your time inside the vehicle like staying at home. Therefore the explanation it’s known as motorhome- your motorized home. The high-tech modern features of a brand new caravan make the expense of buying a new caravan very extreme. That is why so many people look towards used caravans as a realistic, cost-effective alternative. You can buy a used caravan through a private seller or a dealership. However both scenarios require buyers to go through the same checks to ensure they make the right choice.
As most used caravans are taken on the road, the most vital task is to ensure the caravan is safe for towing and therefore worthy of purchase. Used caravans contain electric and gas systems for various essential appliances and it is important to note whether these systems have been recently tested. Everyone’s circumstances are different, especially when it comes to making big purchases like a touring caravan. If you’re on a budget, your only option may be to buy a used caravan. You may think that it will be a compromise, but buying second-hand has some benefits.
Firstly, you’ll have the option to try out caravanning for a relatively small outlay. Meaning, if you find it’s not for you, you’ll not lose as much money in depreciation as you would if you were buying new. Just make sure you do plenty of checks to make sure everything is in full working order and that the caravan has been serviced regularly. Also check the caravan has all the necessary paperwork before agreeing to buy. Perform a CRiS check to make sure the caravan belongs to the seller, doesn’t have any outstanding finance and isn’t an insurance write-off. Continue reading ‘Buying New Vs Buying Used Caravans’ »

There’s advantages to both buying your motorhome brand new and buying it second hand either from your local dealer or privately.
Buying your motorhome new from your local dealer is great for those who want to be the first to own and holiday in their motorhome. You’ll also get to choose the exact specification of the base vehicle and habitation part so you get the finished look you want. There should be a host of features and extras for you to choose from, from engine size and performance to curtain and carpet colour.
With a new motorhome, you’ll also have the reassurance of a manufacturers warranty should anything go wrong in the first few years. Of course, all this comes at a price, so you need to think carefully about your budget and what you can afford. Continue reading ‘Buying New Vs Buying Used Motorhomes’ »

Buying bank repossessed RVs for sale is one of the best ways for you to finally have your own recreational vehicle at very affordable prices. These units are generally bank acquired assets recovered from several clients with delinquencies in their loan payments. Considering the depreciation cost and expenses related to the storage of these units, the financial institutions want to immediately dispose these acquired assets and convert them into cash in order to improve their financial standings.
For this reason, repossessed RVs for sale are usually offered at very low minimum bid price in order to entice buyers and sell them as soon as possible. This situation creates an excellent opportunity for you to finally have the recreational vehicle that you have always dreamed of having as your own where you can travel on vacation and other outdoor activities with your family and loved ones. Finding quality auto repair may not be easy, but do “qualified, affordable auto technicians” exist? I am here to briefly clarify this subject, considering rip-off shops seam to be many. These places are hiring lube techs, not highly trained and skilled technicians, why? Because it is cheaper all you need is one guy to be master certified, I call it, “damage control”. Hire one tech., so when the lubbers create a wound, master tech. sews it up. Anything job becoming too complicated gets farmed out. Read on.
The automotive industry has become a very technical field. There was a day when everybody knew a mechanic. Day after day I would hear, for example, “my brother in law is a mechanic, my dad works on cars”. The days of the dumb mechanic are over. A technician is now needed to repair or service your car; therefore I will examine a couple of attributes any automotive repair facility should harness. The Internet has made possible easy access to many products, including hard-to-find automotive parts. Auto parts were once very difficult to come by, especially if you lived in a small town with only one parts house that mainly catered to local mechanic shops. But thanks to Web technology, you can now find almost any automotive part needed, and buy it at a bargain in many cases.
Is buying auto parts online safe?
It is safe as long as you do a little research before buying. You should choose auto parts sites or shopping malls carefully, and look for sites with a reputable business. Avoid fly-by-night businesses that don’t offer any guarantees of quality and good customer service. Auto parts (even at a bargain) are sometimes expensive, and you certainly don’t want to get stuck with a poor product. Be wary of companies that can’t provide secure ordering, guarantees, or verification that the business is legitimate. Check with others who have used the site before, through online forums or even Better Business Bureau if needed. These days, it seems like as soon as the manufacturer’s warranty on a new car expires, there must be some kind of computer chip that tells the car to start breaking down. With the cost of repair labor being upwards of $70.00 per hour in many areas of the country, expensive repair bills add up quickly. One way to save a bundle of money on car repair bills is by having a good extended car warranty.
Many people don’t have extended auto warranties. Most people don’t buy them because they are so expensive through car dealerships. Truth be told, you don’t even have to buy a warranty through a car lot. You can purchase direct from the warranty company and the savings are tremendous. Don’t believe everything the main dealers tell you!
Its an unfortunate occurance these days that when you purchase a new car from a dealership that you will be informed that your regular yearly or 10,000 mile service needs to be performed by the same dealership or a registered main dealer for that particular manufacturer. This is all a fallacy which can lead to sky high labour costs when you use these services.
In the UK, a government legislation passed in 2003 known as “Block Exemption” means that any independent/local garage can carry out your car’s service and keep the warranty protected. This means that you can make huge savings on both labour charges and you can also keep peace of mind that your car will be serviced by a local mechanic and technician you can trust. The independent garage must use genuine car parts for that particular model which are designated as OE (Original Equipment) standard and this therefore will achieve the stated warranty protection.
