Everyone dreams to buy a new car someday. In the global car market, the number of used cars sold is quite higher, but a new car still works as a sense of pride for many people. Over time, easier financing options and cut-throat competition in the automotive market have made buying new cars relatively easy. However, in the middle of all the convenience from bankers and as well as from car manufacturers, a customer still needs to be really careful. You cannot take the things for granted, else you might lose out on some money on your car deal. Here are some car buying tips, which you can follow when you buy a new car:

If you are in the market for a compact hybrid vehicle that offers the same comfort and reliability of a conventional sedan, you’ll want to consider the Honda Civic Hybrid. The Toyota Prius has become synonymous with hybrid cars and is unquestionably a good car, but its unique and perhaps quirky exterior is not everyone’s cup of tea. The Honda Insight is probably the most affordable hybrid car available but it has been criticized as being too small and lacking in features. The Honda Civic Hybrid, however, is stylish, affordable, fuel efficient, and comes loaded with many great features. In fact, this car ranks #3 out of 35 on US News and World Report’s list of affordable small cars. It is currently the most affordable hybrid in Canada and Energuide rated it as the most fuel efficient compact car in 2009.
So what are some of the Civic Hybrid’s key features? The 2009 and 2010 editions come with a 4 cylinder 1.3L 110 Horsepower engine, 123 lb-ft of Torque, continuously variable transmission, cruise control, anti-lock brakes, power windows, power locks, and power steering. Front, passenger-side, and side curtain airbags, side-impact door beams, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, and automated climate control also come standard. You also have the option of having heated and/or leather seating and installing Honda’s Satellite Linked Navigation System with Bluetooth connectivity. If that’s not enough to get you excited, this sweet ride has a very decent fuel efficiency of 40 mpg in the city and 45 mpg on the highway. If you already drive a regular Honda Civic and are comfortable with it, the transition to the hybrid version makes even more sense because the two look almost identical. The Civic Hybrid just needs to make room for a battery pack and gets better mileage. Continue reading ‘The Honda Civic Hybrid – A Great Alternative to the Toyota Prius!’ »

Hummers are all about the bling or more specifically, the biggest and most rugged vehicle on the road. Looking at the original military version, one would never have predicted this development. But, once GM decided to start putting shiny paint on them, it became logical to chrome out all of the accessory bits. Lately, the fuel door has become one of the favorite targets for chrome.
Chrome doors can be bought for almost all late-model pickups and SUVs. The Hummer fuel door comes in chrome from the factory. It is decorated with the hummer emblem, which is based on the wheel design of the military H1′s self-inflating tires. This looks nice, and does the job for a lot of folks. But if the truck is really going to look custom, then it can’t have the same one as everyone else. Fortunately there are lots of companies out there selling replacement doors. Motor Insurance figures show that teenagers and drivers in their early 20′s cause more accidents on Ireland’s roads than any other group because of their lack of experience and poor judgement when driving. This age group is also more likely to own a mobile phone, making them more likely to be tempted to use it when driving.
Studies have shown that sending a text or calling someone on a mobile phone when driving is especially common amongst younger, less experienced drivers. A recent study carried out in the United States revealed that an alarming 37 per cent of teenagers aged between 16-17 years old admitted to sending a text while driving, with more than half saying they had talked on the mobile phone when in charge of a car. As new-vehicle sales continue to be affected by the economy and the decreasing average credit scores of vehicle purchasing customers, many franchise dealers are considering adding a buy-here, pay-here operation as another profit center for their business. This addition of Buy Here, Pay Here is not as easy as opening another used car lot and can be expensive and cash flow negative for some time. The long term profit potential, however is more consistent and predictable than the new vehicle department.
For some time, buy-here, pay-here has had the image of an operation not particularly good for new car franchisees. To begin with, due to the difference in demographic of the customer, new car franchise staff and owners have been concerned that they would have too many BHPH customers tieing them up in their new car showrooms. In addition, there may have been a concern that once a new car store became known for selling buy here pay here, the average Fico score of its’ customers may drop, and the retail banks approval rates may go down for their “good” credit customers. Some of these may be true, but the benefits are so strong and there are ways to do BHPH without having the negatives. Continue reading ‘New Car Dealers, You Have a Future in "Buy Here, Pay Here"’ »

What the examiners look for in you, while you are driving at your driving exam is completely different from what most people think – in fact most people overcomplicated this – it’s really very easy to pass your driving test. “Oh my god” If I could just pass my driving test, everything will be ok – I’ve heard that from countless of my friends. There are a few reasons why this puts so much pressure on people – first of all, if you don’t pass your driving test, that sets you back by a lot of money, and time. And second of all – it’s the biggest fear people have – of being judged. It’s quite nerve-wracking to know that someone is looking constantly at you, and judging your every move.
