It is an offence to drive an uninsured car and soon it will be illegal to keep a car that is uninsured to. Under new Government proposals uninsured new and used cars in Yorkand across the UK will be crushed whether they are been driven or not.
This does not apply to cars which have been declared off road, but is designed to discourage drivers from driving without insurance. It is estimated that about one million people drive uninsured in Britain, costing law abiding motorist an extra 30 a year on their insurance premium. Owners will be issued with a 100 fine if the vehicle is not insured by a certain date and face their vehicle being seized and crushed if it is not subsequently insured. Critics suggest that the new proposal will not deter those who deliberately drive without tax or insurance but will catch out the average motorists- ‘chancers’ who leave it a few months before renewing. Records from the Motor Insurers’ Bureau and the Drivers and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) will be compared in order to catch offenders. But those who drive cars not registered in their name- ‘the motoring underclass’- will not be detected through this system and will only be caught if police pull them over. The tough new motoring rules will not take into account those who are away for a period of time or in hospital when their insurance renewal is due.

For many of us purchasing a new car is an exciting time, but at times your buying experience can turn adverse just because of few common mistakes that can be generally made. The key to protecting yourself from unscrupulous car dealers is to gain as much knowledge and information about new car buying tactics as you can. After all, the car dealer is looking to make the best deal for him, selling you that new car at the highest possible price.
You will be able to find information on new and used cars, including their market price plus various other features. You need to carefully assess the cost because the invoice sometimes also includes advertisements and certain other overhead charges which are not listed on the website. The first reason why purchasing a vehicle at the end of the month can be so good for your pocket is that dealerships force the dealers to maintain a quota, moreover they incentivize them to make more than their quota.

With summer being a massive disappointment again this year, my attention has moved to winter motoring. I am thinking of selling up my Audi A4 convertible and buying a more practical car for the winter, maybe even something with 4 wheel drive. With the harsh winters we have been having it would make sense to get something that can plough through snow.
I’ve been looking at used cars in Spalding, I’m a firm believer that buying a brand new car is too much of a waste of money. I always buy used cars, 6-12 months old with low mileage. This time I’m thinking of not spending all my money from the sale of the Audi A4, instead I might just buy a car for 4,000 and put the rest aside for a track day car.

Toyota altis in 1.8l segment is the leader .My friend Rajesh maggo owns a Toyota altis and his wife Renu drives a corolla old shape 2004 model it has already done more than 2 lac km. But it still runs very smoothly .Average of corolla 2004 is more than 12kmpl. In more than 2years Ramesh has spent only Rs 8000 for its maintainence. I own a Honda civic. We usually go together for outings on weekends. Now this time we are going to Jim Corbett. We both are having nuclear families and are heading towards Jim Corbett in our cars. I am driving a civic and he is driving Toyota altis and we are racing towards Jim Corbett. As compared to Honda civic Toyota altis is always ahead, it is comfortable to drive even on rough terrains. It gives a good mileage as compared to Honda civic.Civic has a low ground clearance so is very bumpy on rough roads.
The next morning we went for river crossing . The water level was not that high so we were excited to cross it , sitting in our own cars. Then we laid a bet as to who would cross it properly and quickly ,but to my surprise I lost the bet as civic has a low ground clearance.Toyota altis gave a very good response. Infact altis can be compared to suv’s like Chevrolet captiva,Ford endeavour etc for it’s ground clearance and driving on rough terrains. The cabin space of altis is very spacious for a nuclear family ,the two kids sitting behind were very comfortable and happy to enjoy the spacious cabin. Now the next time I am planning to go by Toyota altis instead of civic. Infact the diesel version is comparatively good as the feul is cheaper but lets see which one is better in future for our day today use and also suits our outing habits. I have a limited budget so would prefer to go for used car instead of new car. I started searching the net and searched for used cars in Delhi. I came across carmantr.com , they had a lot of cars in their used car category. I found many cars according to my requirement and then finalized a car which was available at Jagat motors.

When selling a vehicle, the question “How do I set the price for my car” is bound to come up. If you bought the car new you may have thought little about how the price was set or asked any questions. The dealer may have even had a “no-haggle” policy so the price was firm. Coming up with a price for a used vehicle gets a little more complicated. With a used car a number of variables come into play that can and will affect the final price you set and, perhaps more importantly, the final price you are able to get someone to pay.
If you’re asking yourself “How do I get the price for my car that I want,” you need to start by taking an objective point of five and completely set aside any emotional attachment you may have for your set of wheels. You’re probably long past seeing the dull and lifeless paint, the broken door handle or that rip in the upholstery that is part of regular wear and tear. But you can bet any buyer will see it and will factor it in the price he is willing to pay.
