Hyundai Motor India luxury Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) ‘Santa Fe’ has its mega power to rule the roads. It will be available in both petrol and diesel versions with the most demanding cost somewhere around 19-22 lakhs, catering to the segment which adores to possess everything that looks royal. Riding on the huge success of Hyundai i10 and i20, the newest SUV from Hyundai Motor, Santa Fe will also make its position in the heavyweight segment of SUV’s.

Safety and comfort have not been compromised on the exuberant design of this new SUV by Hyundai Motor. It is set to have impressive features including ESP, ABS and a powerful V Series Engine. Lot of eye to detail has gone in to the design of the Hyundai Santa Fe as it boasts of beautifully done interiors. Hyundai Santa Fe is big and that imposing grille with an “I-am-bored” look will only add to its character. The gradually rising waistline makes the rear look a little odd though. The flared wheel-arches will house massive wheels. Hyundai plans to import the Santa Fe in India and will offer a delicious 2.2-liter, 148bhp diesel motor which might be tuned to suit Indian fuel quality.

The overall appearance of the SUV is very sporty and elegant and will surely hit the right chord with the buyers of SUV vehicles in India. With the upcoming new SUV to be launched in the premium segment, Hyundai Motors certainly looks all geared up to capture the luxury car market in India. A daring machine for adventure & sports car freaks. There is no clarity yet as to the final launch date of the Hyundai Santa Fe in India, however the competition is sure to heat up whenever it gets a formal launch in the Indian markets.

Fiat, the famous Italian car manufacturer was founded in 1899, by a group of investors including Giovanni Agnelli. The new company was known as Fabbrica Italiana di Automobili Torino and Agnelli was its first managing director. Agnelli was to be associated with Fiat until his death in 1945. Indeed he was very much the inspiration behind it, having seen the potential of the motor car a year before the founding of Fiat following a meeting with Count Emanuele Bricherasio di Cacherano who was seeking investors in the new motor car industry.

Commercially Fiat had a steady start and by 1903 was in profit. It rolled out 135 vehicles that year. But just thirty six months later production had mushroomed almost tenfold. Fiat became a public company on the Milan stock exchange and Agnelli strengthened his hold on the company by rapidly increasing his shareholding. The business continued to grow apace and by the end of the First World War in 1918 it was the biggest company in Italy. Two years later Agnelli became chairman of the company.

The first car to be produced by Fiat was the 3 CV with a 697cc engine. Only eight were constructed. By 1903 the company was beginning to diversify and produced its first lorry and Within five years had started exporting to the United States and built its first aeroplane.

Having become the biggest vehicle manufacturer in Italy early in the 20th century, a position the company has boasted ever since, Fiat cars began to be produced in the United States following the licensing of a plant in New York. But in 1917, following the USA’s entry into the First World War, the factory was closed in the face of stiff American government controls and regulations.

Domestically things appeared bright for Fiat and by the early years of the 1920s it had won four-fifths of the Italian car market. But despite the company’s commercial dominance, it was caught in the political turmoil engulfing Italy following the end of 1914-18 war. In 1921 Fiats plants were seized by militant workers. Following the end of the workers’ occupation the following year the company built its huge Lignotto plant. At the time of its construction the plant was the biggest in Europe and also introduced assembly line production into Italy.

By the 1930s Fiat held almost 90 per cent of the domestic car market and were well placed to aid Italy’s war effort following their entry into World War Two.

These days you can find custom wheels about anywhere. You can also find them on about any kind of car, truck, van, and SUV. There are many ways to go about getting custom wheels for your automobile. You can order them online. This allows you to get about anything you would want. You can also call your local dealership and get your new wheels through them. What ever you decide to get, you will know you are going to get looked at.

Most competition enthusiasts are always looking to customize their vehicle. They participate in car show to get their vehicle looked at and in some cases to sell it. Getting new rims will up the value considerably. There are cases that you just need the manufactures rim to replace a broken or damaged one.

When you are thinking about racing or simply driving the automobile there are some things you need to consider before buying rims and tires. Weight and width are big things when you are considering new rims. Being that the rim is to skinny you won’t be able to grab traction like you are supposed to. Gas mileage is on everyone’s mind. If the tires and rims are too big you will see a change in how much gas you use.

When you are trying to decide on what online Internet company to go with when making a small investment to your car, truck, or SUV, where do you go? Look for a company with a wide range of selections. A fully functional website that offers a manufacturers warranty on new rims. This is important because you don’t want to get someone’s rims that have been damaged and painted over. This can cause a lot of problems down the road. Make sure you can get a 100% money back guarantee, easy to use, no registration to buy, and no hidden charges. There are some sites out there that even include in there pricing, lug nuts, center caps, and valve stems.

There are some things you need before replacing the manufactures rim on your vehicle. You need to get the make, model and size of your rim. When you have these you can call your local dealership and they can order what you need. This is great for someone that has a broken or damaged rim.

Getting a modified rim to express your individuality is easier than what you might think. Getting online or talking to your friends can ensure that you get just what you are looking for. You can get rims with moving parts such as spinners. They also come in all different colors.

Make sure when you are looking for your investment that you have weighed out all the possibilities. Getting a rims and tires that are over and under the suggested size can be a hazard to you and your vehicle. The will decrease power, gas consumption, and in time weigh a heavy toll on your vehicle.

Locking lug nuts are a smart thing to consider when you have purchased your custom wheels. Due to the value of your custom wheels and rims and the rise in crime these days you would have to be silly not to spend a few extra dollars to keep you investment safe and secure. No matter what you are looking for, keep in mind there are dishonest people out there that want them worse than you do.

Looking to buy a used Volkswagen Beetle? Not too long ago I was on the search myself. Here’s a little bit about how I found my fun little car and what I did to find it.

Searching Online:

My first step was to start searching for cars on Auto Trader which is a Canadian website since I’m in Canada. I’m sure the US must have something similar that you can search if that’s where you live. I was looking for Volkswagens but in the beginning I wasn’t to picky on whether I wanted a Jetta or Beetle. I was also considering a Golf.

As I got out there to look around I really started to love the idea of owning a Beetle. I remember Herbie the love bug and I always wanted my own Beetle when I grew up.

Timing Belt Issue:

Most of the cars I went to look at my boyfriend came with. Now I don’t know much about cars or bargaining for a good used car price so he was doing all the talking for me.

One thing we often came across was that the salesmen at used car dealerships couldn’t tell us if the timing belt had been changed. According to what I’ve been told the belt needs changing at about 150k and we needed to find out for sure that it already HAD been changed or I would be looking at about $700 or so to have that done after I buy the car.

Finding a Car in Good Shape:

Buying a used car is certainly a lot of work! There were a number of things we were looking for. Here they are:

* Body in good shape – We looked for cars with no rust at all. Any rust is just an indication of more to come and we didn’t want a car that had started rusting. Also looked for scratches and dents. Not looking for perfection here but at least in good shape.
* Tires fairly new – Obviously replacing tires after buying the car is not a good deal so we looked to make sure the tires were in good shape.
* Timing belt new – Mentioned this already but we needed to know that the timing belt had been replaced.
* Interior in good shape – Some cars were not in great shape on the inside, this wasn’t a good sign as if someone didn’t take care of the inside it’s possible they didn’t keep up maintenance either.
* Low kilometers – Lower kilometers means less wear and tear on the vehicle. Most cars in my price range were around 150-200k.
* Who to trust – It’s scary buying a used car from a place you don’t know. It’s hard to know who to trust. The dealership I bought my car from did have a UCDA (Used Car Dealers Association) membership so that was some comfort. They have also been in business for 14 years and I did get a good ‘gut’ feeling about the guy I bought the car from.

That should give you a great starting point as you hunt around for your bug! Good luck and I hope you find the perfect Volkswagen New Beetle for you.

Once you get your New Beetle you might was to jazz it up. Check out our VW Beetle Blog for information and ideas.

When it comes to your car, we all get very emotionally attached. In the olden days, a cool paint job or a big engine was the primary way to distinguish your car from others. Today the big craze is having chrome wheels. This is a great way to enhance the look of your car. If you take the time to choose correctly from the hundreds of styles, you cannot only improve the appearance of you vehicle, you are actually helping with the performance of it, as well.

When cars were first available on the market, wheels were made of steel. They were very heavy and adversely affected the way your car would handle. Around 1950, auto manufacturers started testing various alloys to improve performance. Over the years, this process has made the custom wheel after market a multi million dollar business. Today, there are hundreds of styles and colors of chrome wheels available using a lighter material that not only looks good, they allow for better handling of your car and will improve your gas mileage.

Some new car dealers will carry a modest selection, but most of the coolest wheels are available online or at auto after market shops. Along with the many available styles you can choose from several colors as the plating can be modified. You will see high chrome finishes, matte/gun metal and black chrome. These choices are broad and your new wheels should match the personality of your car. Many online sites offer a mock up page that allows you to see what wheels would look like on your car, so run through many styles and colors to see which ones you like the best.

We all know that cars are literally part of your personality. When you drive down the street, there is a great satisfaction when someone notices that you have cool chrome wheels. Pride of ownership and vanity play a large part in your choices and well they should. Many people spend more time in their car than they do at their homes! So, be prepared to look at a lot of styles and pick the one that makes you feel the best.

If you are into custom cars or restoring classics, the addition of chrome wheels will be a really nice finishing touch to your work. If you attend car shows, you can see that many of the older custom cars may be all original except for the wheels and guess what? They win!! So, with the right choice in this case, you may drive home with the Best of Show trophy. In older cars, you will experience a nicer ride with chrome wheels as the weight is better and as suspension was not as good as it is in our cars today, you will find your car easier to drive.

Taking care of your new wheels does require some work. As long as you take care of them, they will last for a long time. Use a professional chrome polish and a polishing cloth. Your wheels will get dirty and greasy, so take care. Being as most of these wheels are open, you will also get brake dust on them. Clean them when they are cool and this debris will come right off and you will not jeopardize the quality of the chrome.

Many cars are changing to a bigger size tire, to change the look even more. This is not a bad idea, it is just one that takes some consideration when trying it. Be sure to check to see that a bigger tire can fit in your wheel well and realize that the bigger the tire, the bigger the wheel, therefore, the bigger the expense. You may find that by just adding new wheels to your current size tire will be just what the Doctor ordered to make your car look great.

Your car is one of the largest investments you will make in your life. Taking care of it will make it look better, run better and hold the value better. By adding chrome wheels, you will change the personality, cause some people to stop in their tracks in awe and most importantly make you feel great every time you get behind the wheel, so have fun with your new custom chrome rims.

Finding cheap wheels will be easier and more affordable if you follow some simple tips for making sure that you are getting what you want. When looking for wheels, you will find that there are many websites that offer different types of wheels. The cost of the wheels will vary depending on the style, design, and material that they are made from.

Planning the budget for your wheels should include any modifications that must be made to your vehicle to accommodate them. When a person gets over-sized wheels, it is often necessary to have hydraulic lifters and a sturdier strut installed to accommodate the tires. By adding modification costs onto the cost of the wheels, you will have a good idea of the total cost of the upgrade.

When larger tires are going to be installed on the vehicle, it will be important that you find the type of tire that is appropriate for where you will do the majority of your driving. Many people find that all-terrain tires do not provide the same type of handling on a car compared to tires that are made for cars and highway driving.

When you are comparing the types of tires that are needed for your vehicle, it will be important to remember that your vehicle will handle differently with different wheels on it. Some people find that their cars are more difficult to navigate in tight traffic with large oversize tires.

Greater care must be taken with newer model vehicles. The many computer and electronic components of a modern vehicle can be damaged very easily if the balance of the vehicle is changed. When you are going to add new wheels that are not a standard size onto a newer model of vehicle, it will be important to get the advice of a professional on what type of modifications will need to be done for the car to continue operating properly.

When a car is still under warranty, there may be conditions regarding modifications and repairs that will end the warranty should they occur. You will want to make sure that your warranty will not be terminated when you get your new wheels. This is sometimes the case even when you are just upgrading to a better wheel.

In the past, most wheels were made of steel. These were very affordable and most car manufacturers chose to use steel wheels because of their durability and resiliency. When they had a brushed finish, the metal did not show scratches or wear and would withstand more types of driving. Modern cars have an optional alloy wheel or mag which is much lighter and has a look of chrome. These wheels are also more standard in design for cars that are purchased from the manufacturer.

When selecting specialty wheels the alloy wheels often have a chrome finish and may be chosen with complementary spinners that keep rotating when the car is in motion or when it is stopped. These are often not the cheap wheels that a person may want, but they do provide the kind of style that personalizes the vehicle. When the alloy wheels are chosen, they often will make the car handle differently because they are much lighter than the standard wheels and tires that are normally found on vehicles.

Getting your van seat covers is a convenient way of making the interior of your vehicle look better. Most owners would agree. In addition, it is a perfect way of protecting the seats at a cost-effective range. This is perhaps an important reason this option is popular. Owners find that the easiest way to conceal torn seats is through putting on a decent cover and this is rather an inexpensive choice. This also helps lower the cost of interior upkeep as seat covers lessen the chances that the seats get damaged further particularly because covers keep the upholstery from coming in contact with the elements. But there is more to these covers than simply protecting the seats.

Whether you own an expensive vehicle or a second-hand type, there is a good reason for you to invest on seat covers because they ensure that the seats last long enough. In the case of vans, these covers are even more appropriate because they serve for a larger group of people like teams or entire family.

However, besides what you know, such seat covers serve a multitude of functions and purposes and one may regard these items as rather irrelevant, though the contrary is true. It is too easy to overlook the necessity but after a while owners would realize the sheer importance of seat covers. These items are more than just plain covers. They keep your original seat upholstery from dirt and moisture. Depending on the type of cover or the material which it is made of, it may protect the seat during incidents of spillage. This is important for vans used by families with kids who may bring inside sodas and snacks during a long trip.

Old vehicles with worn out interior may be instantly renewed after the installation of seat covers, which transforms seats without the need for an overhaul or a replacement of upholstery. Other options like changing the upholstery and having the seats repaired may cost high. But new covers would do the trick with less expending. In an instant, old cars or vans would look new and appealing.

One good thing about seat covers designed for vehicles like trucks, cars and vans is that they are made according to an owner’s budget. You do not have to opt for the most luxurious items because there are inexpensive products with considerable quality. Covers would also come in many designs, colors, style, pattern, and sizes to suit your preferences as well as your van’s interior look. Note that not every type of cover would be suitable to your vehicle interior and to its seats. This is why customization of seat covers is in order as it caters to the individual preference of buyers (van owners). Customized covers are also ideal for specific types of vans.

Durability is an important aspect because people cannot deal with frequent replacement of covers. Most van owners are on-the-go type of people who do not have the luxury of time to go to repair shops and car upholstery shops. Thus, a set of seat covering that is durable would serve most people best. It saves time and money. And that is what a lot of vehicle owners are after. With durability in mind, buyers often go for suede and leather type of material. For instance, leather makes the interior to pick up an element of luxury, enhancing the inside feel and look of your van.

Then again, there are many buyers whose main concern is a snug, cozy inside environment. For this purpose, a material made of sheepskin is definitely going to do the trick of keeping people inside the van warm and comfy, especially during winter trips. Sheepskin also does the trick of warming up quickly during cold mornings.

There are a lot more seat covers for vans and you can just be surprised at the large selection you can find at stores and dealers. Also looking for products online is not bad.

If you’ve read my first article for New Car Dealers and Buy Here Pay Here, then you understand the idea of treating BHPH as a separate franchise, so I will assume that you are interested in learning more. This is my 2nd article in the series for new car dealers. Now let’s talk about some suggestions on where to locate your new BHPH franchise.

My first suggestion always is to put your BHPH location away from your new store completely. It prevents confusion for your people and customers.

To begin with, understand that you need to physically separate your inventory from your normal used car operation. The customers you will have, always want the best vehicle for their money. So, if the retail used car inventory is parked in the same row as your BHPH, they will want those vehicles and not the ones they can afford in your program. It is better not to set their standards too high to start with. This also helps your salespeople stay in the BHPH mental state with your customers.

Although I believe that all my customers are equal, I have found in the past that many employees of new car stores feel that the buy here pay here customer is not the same as a retail customer. They therefore, may treat them differently. One of the main benefits of having a separate facility is to make and keep your customers comfortable and relaxed. Think about it, they probably have been treated roughly at one, or more, new car stores already because of their credit. Make them feel welcome.

Once you deliver the car to your customers, they will then be making payments every week or month, depending on their payment schedule. That means they will be stopping by to do this. The steady flow of customers can be disruptive in a new car showroom or lot.

Finally, the separate lot will help allow you to market and merchandise the operation independent from your new car store. A different name, web site and logo can be very helpful.

It will cost more money to do it this way. But it will increase your returns, sales and collections.

One of my friends says that any car has three main parts; they include the engine, steering and certainly wheels. He pays a lot of attention to the latter because even an ideal car will never go without wheels. My friend is sure that to choose tyres is a really great task. He has some rules that he strictly sticks to when he chooses tires for his car. Several days ago he made a small lecture on tires for me.

The first thing every person has to know is the fact that there are different types of tires:

“Summer tyres. They are designed in order to use them when it is hot. These tyres provide good road adherence in summer, they are perfectly adapted to driving at high speed and they have maximum endurance. But they can hardly be used in winter.

“Winter tyres. Tires of this type are used on roads when they are covered with snow or with ice. Some of such tires have tire studs or provide an ability to mount them.

“All-season tyres. It’s a special type of tires that can be used both in summer and in winter. But frankly speaking, my friend doesn’t advice to purchase these tires because their inventors tried to find ideal tires, but in fact all-season tires are not as good as tires for a particular period of time.

But it’s not enough to know that there exist different types of tires; there are many tips everyone has to know when he or she chooses tires. One can find a lot of letters on tires but not all people know what they mean.

Let’s examine some of them:

1. TL means that the tyre is tubeless;

2. DcDc on the contrary means that this tyre is a tube one;

3. When you see the word Steel written on the tyre it means that this tire belongs to a type of metal cord tyres.

4. Letters PR with different numbers show ply-rating of a tyre.

My friend knows much more about tyres than I managed to write in this article. He is a real expert in this sphere; and when finally I asked him what tires he uses himself he told that he prefers to buy tires on Goodyear tire sale. This tyres suit him most of all.

Winter driving can be challenging enough without having someone tell you to drive in reverse, but that’s exactly what I’m going to recommend for rare situations when driving forwards with front wheel drive just doesn’t cut it.

Admittedly, the idea of driving backwards is a bit odd, but in special circumstances it works better with a front wheel drive vehicle than going forward. The special circumstances are deep snow and going uphill.

For those of us who live with a steep and long driveway, it can be challenging to make it uphill in deep snow, even with front wheel drive. Going backwards with a front wheel drive vehicle can help overcome the difficulty. Here’s why:

* Your drive wheels are lower, so gravity shifts more weight on them for better traction.
* You have to drive more slowly to maintain control of direction, and that tends to promote traction instead of wheel spinning.
* The front wheels of the car are now on compacted snow (thanks to the rear wheels) instead of loose snow, so that provides added traction.
* If you sense you’re going to get “high centered” in deep snow, you can stop and pull forward (downhill) because your drive wheels aren’t in the deep snow yet, so they’ll have better traction. Also, the weight of the engine and gravity are all in your favor.

So, when winter driving throws a challenge at you like driving up an incline in deep snow, you might get yourself through it by going backwards with your front wheel drive vehicle.

Don’t try this except in situations where your path of travel is relatively straight, there isn’t any traffic to deal with, and there isn’t a ditch or embankment nearby that presents a hazard should you veer off course a bit while trying to drive in a direction that you may not be accustomed to.

Clair Schwan is an experienced driver in all sorts of weather and road conditions, and lives in a remote area where blizzards and snow drifts are commonplace. He suggests staying off the road when it’s tough going. He has more safe driving tips to save you time, money and grief over at http://www.frugal-living-freedom.com where the motto is, “…living well, and well within your means…”
