Car donation has come to stay and is really popular these days. For more reasons than one, car owners will readily donate their old used car to charitable organizations instead of going through the hassles of car sale or auctions especially if the car is relatively old. Another attractive factor in used car donation is that the donor gets some tax reduction after his donated care must have been auctioned.
Comparing Used Car Donation vs. Trying To Sale Same Car
When you donate your used car to charitable organizations, you have the peace of mind that you have positively contributed to the causes of the less privileged in the society. You also get some tax reduction when the value of the car you donated is calculated. You would be troubled with the stress of finding a potential buyer for your used car which may or may not be too old to attract any reasonable monetary value. The issue of some unforeseen buyer complications is completely erased.
These simple points can save you a lot of time when dealing with your used old car and once you had made up you mind to donate it to charity, there are some tips you need to know. Continue reading ‘Donating Your Used Car? Important Points to Note’ »

If you’ve been contemplating a West Coast to East Coast car or vehicle transport, or vice versa, or even getting the old classic over to Hawaii or into Alaska, then the first and best thing to do is get a quote for the costs as soon as possible. Having that figure in mind, you can then delve into reliability and some of the other details you may be considering.
As goes the initial quote and other processes, so goes the actual transport. This is a quick way to find out the necessary info if you’ve never used a vehicle transport company before. Because moving a heavy object thousands of miles can prove tricky, you will want reliable transport folks to take care of the myriad details involved. With the vast network of highways we have now, plus all of the improvements going on (or not, as the case may be) it definitely pays to have professionals take care of your car transport needs. You may never have thought that door to door transportation of a vehicle was possible. Using an enclosed trailer, while a little more expensive, can help if the vehicle you have is quite old and has many parts that are tentatively held in place, at best. Must You Donate Your Used Car?
The first step we will take before we answer this question is what we all do when we get a new car. The car you just got may not be brand new. Even if it is a fairly used car but since you are getting it for the first time makes it a new acquisition to you. What then happens to the former or old car you were using before you got this new care? Some may resort to trading off their old car once they get a new one while, others may opt to use the old car in partial exchange for a new car.
While these two options are popular, it is not every car that will qualify to be so traded. The old cars in these categories must be new enough to command some values in the market place but, if you are face with a situation where your used car is too old to attract any appreciable value, you have a good option of donating the car to charity.
Car donation is awesome in the sense that you will be adding value to someone’s life through the donation and getting some benefits in return. Continue reading ‘Everything You Need to Know About Car Donations’ »

If you need a car but don’t want to go through the rigmarole of a car loan, then how about leasing? While the overall cost can be higher than purchasing a car, the down payment is lower. So if you want an option somewhere between renting and buying a car, these tips will help you to consider leasing a vehicle:
1. Search for the car that you want.
This process is similar to the search for a new car. It’s likely that you’ll be leasing the car for years, so you might as well like it. Consider factors such as the make, model, color, and features. Taking the time to determine the car you want to lease, will help to make the process much smoother. Continue reading ‘How to Lease a Car’ »

Polishing and Waxing are terms in the car cleaning industry that are used interchangeably. In fact products that are true waxes are often labeled having “polishing” properties.
Conversely, true polishing products are combined with waxes in order to produce one step polish-wax solutions that are labeled as “polishes.”
This has led many car owners to use the term interchangeably. But what really makes waxes and polishes different from each other? This article will explain the difference between them.
Polishing is a process in which a material that has abrasive properties is applied to the car surface. This is done to remove minor paint damage and removal of minor scratches. Continue reading ‘The Difference Between Polishing and Waxing Your Car’ »

The economy has seen better days. The struggles of the economy were the impetus for the passage of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, known commonly as the Federal Stimulus Bill. Included in this act is a car tax deduction.
Originally conceived as a credit, this car tax deduction seeks to provide an incentive for prospective automobile buyers and to help jump-start a moribund automotive industry. The window for taking part in this offer is limited – only cars purchased between February 17, 2009 and December 31, 2009 qualify for the savings. This effort has similar goals to the earlier “Cash for Clunkers” program, an Obama-administration initiative which gave rebates to those looking to trade in fuel-inefficient vehicles to purchase new ones. Figuring out what car best suits your personality might be a bit of a challenge. Typically, there are people who prefer to purchase a vehicle based on its overall appearance. You can blame this on clever advertising as well as product placement in movies, television shows and other forms of radio and print media.
What was the last movie that you saw? How about the last music video that you saw? Nowhere else do we see an over abundance of vehicles portrayed than in television media. For instance, if you have ever seen the movie “Men in Black II,” you can’t help but notice the type of vehicle that Will Smith is driving because it is prominently portrayed in almost every other scene! At one point during the movie, I found myself wondering why I was seeing this vehicle so often. If my memory serves me right, I believe that the vehicle was some sort of Mercedes Benz.
In other shows such as House Hunters and Insomniac (with Dave Attel), anytime vehicles are portrayed, if you look closely, you will notice that the producers have purposely blurred out the vehicle emblem (as well as the license plate) because otherwise, they would have to pay a royalty to whichever manufacturer’s vehicle was being displayed. It turns out that there are all sorts of rules for showing certain vehicles on television that people are not even aware of half of the time. Continue reading ‘What Car Suits You?’ »
