ased Overland Automotive in 1908. It was not right up until 4 a long time later when the company was officially renamed to Willys-Overland Motor Corporation. It developed many Touring, Sedan, Roadster and Coach products before it officially started developing Jeeps. Prior to the production of jeeps, the firm has developed four base models and automobile lines. It is these that are the Willys, Aero-Willys, Willys-Overland as well as the Overland. Once they’ve begun manufacturing and have presented Willys Jeeps in 1941, this was the time that they have instantly gained far more popularity. They were definitely no longer referred to as a company that produced automobiles; they were then recognized to create great good quality jeeps that may survive the perils and stresses of transportation in the course of the war.

The last Willys automobile was manufactured in 1955. Even previous to that year, the company has previously been taken over by Kaiser Motors. It was not until 1963 when the name Willys was officially dropped from all productions. Nowadays, you can still be able to come across base products or those that were definitely modeled after the original Willys jeeps.

In 1970, Kaiser-Jeep was officially turned over to American Motors Corporation. Eventually, it was bought by Chrysler plus the original CJs are now far better referred to as the Jeep Wrangler. Since 2003 until present, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is ushered in and marketed. This was inspired from the badging for the recreation on the Willys nameplate. Although the features are no longer precisely identical, the bases of the design, concept and purpose remain the same way as a type of tribute to the original design and style.

Before you consider investing in a Jeep, make sure you definitely do lots of research to determine if it’s for you. The Jeep Wrangler is certainly not really for everyone. It mainly is dependent upon your own identity (as well as your sense of adventure) as to whether or not you ought to be the owner of one.

For instance, a sports car aficionado will not likely like the Wrangler. People who prefer the luxury of a smooth drive or leather car seats are going to be very let down. Families with young children will certainly prefer the safety and security that some other SUVs offer.

In sum, people who look at driving a car basically as a means of getting from one place to the next may need to look elsewhere, since the Wrangler is actually for individuals who look for adventure, whoever has a desire for taking their car places they have never gone before, and people that appreciate driving for absolutely no reason besides to be out in the great outdoors.

Some consider a Wrangler essentially like a raw kind of SUV. However the Wrangler is more about mindset and less about practicality compared to most other SUVs in the marketplace. The truth is, Jeep put “utility” in the sport-utility vehicle and named it a Wrangler. With removable doors, a fold-down windshield, removable top, replacement half-doors, holes in the floorboards for hosing out the interior when it’s filthy – now that’s utility!

PROS:

On the plus side, here are a few good reasons you ought to own a Jeep Wrangler.

What you need to learn is the fact a Jeep Wrangler is a lifestyle changer:

- You will want to drive places you have never been before (off-road, for instance!)

- You may long for days when you can take the top and doors off and feel the wind through your hair .

-You may like to have the attention you get from other drivers – those in Jeeps, and those just envying yours.

-You could keep your eye out for yet another add-on that could make your Jeep uniquely yours.

-You will have a completely new fraternity of buddies – those you are going to meet around town who own a Wrangler, and those you’ll meet at Jeep events across the U.S., Jeep community forums, chat rooms, and listservs.

-You will probably be inclined to turn into a do-it-yourself technician, as vehicle repairs are very basic.

-You will certainly enjoy driving during just about all weather conditions as well as in all four seasons.

In sum, a Jeep Wrangler offers you the opportunity to express yourself, and gives you the freedom to drive wherever you want to drive. It’s the quintessential “go anywhere, do anything” motor vehicle! Choosing a Jeep also admits you into an extremely lively and public fraternity. No matter whether you happen to be young in age or young at heart, it’s the youthful feel of adventure that make a Wrangler a terrific vehicle to own. And to top it all off, Wranglers maintain their value quite nicely, so you’re going to get superb re-sell value when you’re ready to sell.

CONS:

On the down side, below are a few reasons you shouldn’t own a Jeep Wrangler.

Just before buying a Wrangler, here are a few of the things you should think about:

- Unless you like the outdoors, you will not like a Wrangler.

- If you’re exceedingly concerned with luxury, safety or security, you may not like a Wrangler.

- Should you actually need a passenger vehicle, a Wrangler probably will not meet your needs.

-If you’ll need space or room for hauling things (suitcases, household goods, etc.), the Wrangler will not do it for you, nor does it have a trunk compartment that locks.

-If you have a lengthy commute, you won’t take pleasure in the noisy ride, and the Wrangler guzzles gasoline.

- For those who have a huge family, you won’t be able to comfortably seat everyone in a Wrangler.

-If you (or your passengers) have concerns about how exactly you may “look” when you get to your desired destination, then you will possibly not get pleasure from the “sweat factor” or “windblown hair” you get from driving a Jeep convertible.

In sum, a Wrangler is definitely a “no frills” automobile. It includes few “extras”, and some of the most standard things (carpet, steel doors, rear seat) are regarded as options. If comfort, security, and safety are tops on your list of vehicle prerequisites, you should most likely think twice about getting a Jeep Wrangler.

Chances are, you are going to either love it or you will hate it. That is what a Jeep Wrangler is about. If you can’t make a decision and need a compromise, then buy a “standard ” SUV.

Do not be mistaken, a Wrangler is not a cozy “city car’” by any means. The truth is, it is a much better selection as a 2nd or 3rd automobile than as a primary vehicle. And it is a lot more practical for single people than for families with kids.

Even though a Wrangler rides more like a truck than a car, it is the kind of vehicle for individuals who want to really feel in touch with the path beneath them.

Do not get a Wrangler while on an impulse purchase! Rather, research your options thoroughly. Research it. Test drive it. Test drive additional vehicles. Speak with other Wrangler owners as well as (especially) ex-owners. Make a list of each and every vehicular need you have and highlight any that the Wrangler can not provide. Then test drive it once again.

In fact, it may just be that even against your better judgment… despite the fact that your instincts are fore warning you a Jeep Wrangler is not a practical buy, you might be one of the lucky ones who manages to derive enough satisfaction from having one to make it worth it in the end.

Whatever you do, at the very least give the Jeep Wrangler test drive! Or, rent one before buying one. You certainly will want to give it a go prior to making the major decision of buying one of these automobiles. It’s likely that you will adore it, but as mentioned before Jeeps are not for the faint of heart.

Utmost Care!!! Utmost Care!!! The service I received with Gladstone Suzuki was of this utmost care, while friendly at the same time with out getting awkward. I would come to Auto Truck Source in Gladstone to purchase an additional Nissan Frontier truck again!

UNDERSTANDING!!! I just want to let everyone know what an amazing job Gladstone Suzuki did for me! Now I had been shopping with many dealerships in Beaverton on 122nd along with dealers on Mcgloughlin. I can’t tell you how significantly run around I got from almost all of them. I mean, yes I’m picky but I knew pretty significantly what I wanted vehicle wise, and knew what my budget was. not having naming any names there’s a number of other “Large” dealers on Mcgloughlin blvd where the salesman were really pushy, kind of rude on the phone etc. Not to mention calling some on the dealerships and driving all the way across town to see a car- then POOF- it sold within the 2 hours it took me to get there…Yeah thanks for the call to save me the trip. I worked with a guy by the name of Mike Case- at Gladstone Suzuki- he was exceptionally honest and upfront, worked with me showing me many several vehicles. Gladstone Suzuki was extremely professional and understanding and I got a excellent deal! devoid of the back and forth B.S. I got everywhere else.

Beyond Expectations…!!! Above and beyond!!! Gladstone Suzuki and Auto Truck Source in Gladstone went above and beyond expectations to create my Toyota Corolla purchasing knowledge pleasant!

Sending My Family!!! Not Pushy!! Nice guys at Gladstone Suzuki! I feel excellent about my order of my Jeep Wrangler from Gladstone Suzuki. Not pushy at all which I genuinely liked. I will for sure send my Family members and friends to Auto Truck Source in Gladstone!

There is no doubt that Jeep wants its customers to have an extreme experience. Having said that, it should come as no surprise that Jeep Grand Cherokee has received more than a scintilla of attention from both automotive retailers and general magazines and websites on the subject. The site gives the same vehicle a “4×4 of the Year” and other awards. It performs well on highways as well as on rugged roads. It is also a mid-size vehicle with powerful engines.

The Grand Jeep Cherokee was unveiled in 1983. Compared to other traditional SUVs, the Jeep Grand Cherokees looks like other cars. The compact size has been maintained since 2005. However, more features have been added since 2007. In 2007 new diesel engine options were added. Beginning in 2001, the Cherokee had a V8 five-speed automatic engine. In 2002, Jeep introduced three additional trim levels i. E.; Special edition, Sports, Overland, a 265 HP V8 and more features. The V8 engine was the better choice as it provided more power without much sacrifice in fuel economy compared to the six-cylinder.

Since this is a vehicle made by human beings it had some problems, like the 2005 model. The problems were door glass sticking, moaning, poor tracking, and acute radio signals. But the entire problem was resolved soon after launch. The Cherokee paved the way for later models. Jeep was experimenting and developing a brand new car which would change the face of the industry. The Cherokee provided this opportunity. Later models like the Jeep Commander were much more stable and reliable.

The engine choices range from mild to wild, with the HEMI engine topping the charts at 320 Horsepower. It only costs a couple of miles per gallon over the 3. 7 liter V6 and 4. 7 liter V8 engines, but has better responses. In 2007, the Cherokee 2007 came with a diesel engine option for customers, giving it quite a new level of speed, and improved mileage. The active suspension and fast-acting automatic four-wheel-drive is very helpful in negotiating hemi-spherical corners, where a lot of experience is needed. The Cherokee performed well on this front. Hemispheric corners cause considerable skidding and swing-out tails. Even without electronic doodads, the Grand Cherokee negotiated corners very well.

Various models would come into existence over time. As from 2007, later models were much improved. Like the ZJ series (1993-1998) – the Base model had a complete set of instruments, a cloth interior and par-for-the-course 5-speed manual transmission. The later WJ models (1999-2004) saw their spare tyres relocated from the side of the cargo compartment to underneath the floor. The WK models of 2004-2010 have 4-wheel drive and rear-seat DVD player as standard features.

Grand Jeep Cherokee was built in 1983. It’s a luxury car, which has been upgraded gradually as per the customer requirements. However the Jeep standard Jeep features are available as well.

The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee has more power features, as compared to its earlier models in terms of rear wheel drive, engine capacity, and fuel efficiency. The navigation and mobile satellite television features are optional. To improve safety, more features were added. These include antiskid, traction control, and curtain side airbags. The superb suspension is available in all models.

Jeep plans to release an advanced Grand Jeep Cherokee in 2011. The Cherokee has been superseded by the Jeep Commander. If the future model is to be anything classic, it should be better than the Commander. Jeep is happy with its current model. Already; new features have been added to the current model. The new model will come in many colours and features. The price is also reasonable. The price ranges from $30, 500. 00 to $45, 000. 00 and production will start in January, 2010. So, keep an eye if you are a Jeep fan

The Jeep brand has a lofty and historic heritage, one that was came to life during the darkest hours of World War II. At that time, the US military needed a vehicle which could move its way through the French countryside, German bogs and far eastern paddy fields, thus the Jeep was born.

Since the second world war ended, Jeep has been available to the general public and it is the vehicle which gave way to the rise of sport/utility vehicles now common with virtually all automakers.

Jeep itself has survived its own turbulence having been bought and sold several times over the course of its lifetime. Willys, Kaiser and American Motors were the earliest owners of the Jeep brand followed by Chrysler Corporation, DaimlerChrysler and the all new Chrysler LLC company formed in 2007 when Chrysler was separated from its German parent, the new Daimler AG.

Since 1993, the flagship vehicle in the Jeep fleet is the Grand Cherokee although the newer Commander is actually the largest Jeep model currently sold. That latter model has been a slow seller and will probably be discontinued after the current model year.

If Jeep lives long enough, customers will see a new model next year, the 2011 Grand Cherokee. Now entering its fourth generation, the Grand Cherokee will probably be the final model produced by Chrysler LLC as the company is basically bankrupt and hoping that its pending alliance with Fiat SpA works out. If Chrysler and Fiat are able to strike up a deal, then Jeep would be included in that plan. If not, a bankrupt Chrysler would be sold off in pieces with Jeep likely to go to the highest bidder.

The next generation Jeep Grand Cherokee keeps its off-road capabilities intact despite contrary rumors suggesting that the vehicle would be transformed into a crossover model. Featuring all-new Quadra-Lift air suspension system, the Grand Cherokee delivers legendary Jeep off-road capability along with the new Selec-Terrain system that allows the driver to choose the drive system that best matches on- or off-road driving conditions. New front and rear independent suspension systems deliver premium on-road handling and comfort.

The 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee’s standard engine is an all-new flexible fuel 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine. The 3.6-liter V-6 engine is an all-new design featuring double overhead camshafts (DOHC) and a high-pressure die-cast aluminum cylinder block in a 60-degree configuration. This engine will offer an 11% increase in fuel economy while customers will also be able to choose a HEMI V-8 for additional power and towing capabilities.

No matter what becomes of Jeep, the brand’s legendary track record remains Chrysler’s most valuable asset, one that will likely continue whether Fiat or some other company gains control over the world’s oldest off-road brand.

The answers are…yes..yes..yes..and yes!

With the Wrangler leading the pack on ridiculous pricing in the new and used markets it’s no wonder that there is so much “Buyer’s Shock”.

So what’s so special about Jeeps and the Jeep Wrangler especially? Wranglers are relatively uncomfortable, rough riding, cramped for space and bad on gas mileage. With those credentials who would want to waste their time and a boat load of money on these things?

The overused expression “It’s a Jeep thing…you wouldn’t understand!” does sum most of it up in a nutshell. However, many folks really WANT to understand this phenomenon, because these Jeep guys and gals riding around with smiles on their collective faces can’t help but raise curiosity among the uninitiated.

Sure, a lot of us have envisioned ourselves like John Wayne in the movie “Hatari” racing through the wilds of Africa in a beat up Jeep CJ6, or running the Baja 1000 full bore in a tricked out Wrangler racer. However, most Jeep owners use their rigs as everyday drivers and take them off roading, camping, hunting, fishing or exploring only occasionally.

The real draw to most of us Jeep owners is in the knowing that we have a rare type of vehicle (with a long heroic history) which can pull all sorts of duty from daily driver mild to off road warrior extreme whenever we are so inclined.

THAT is what puts a smile on our faces whenever we strap-in to our favorite rigs headed for the convenience store…or the wide open desert trails.

Is it worth the expensive price to drive this true American icon? Well, that’s a question only you can answer for yourself.

As for me and millions of other enthusiasts throughout the world…we think it’s definitely worth it!

A Jeep Wrangler is a compact 4×4 sports utility vehicle that debuted in 1987. The Jeep Wrangler succeeds the jeep of World War II and has become a true American icon. Jeeps are best known for being rugged off road military vehicles. The civilian jeep better known as the CJ was inspired by the military jeeps and became the predecessor of the Jeep Wrangler.

The Jeep Wrangler was a vast improvement over the CJ. The new Jeep Wrangler design offered far more passenger comfort, a larger wheel base, less ground clearance and the signature square headlights. These new enhancements made for a vehicle that was versatile both off and on road, appealing to a diverse group of consumers.

Modeled after the CJ, the Wrangler preserved the live axels positioned in the front and rear of the vehicle. The Wrangler a vehicle with optimum power and a tough exterior appealed to a more diverse group of consumers. The Wrangler, an enjoyable vehicle had revised mechanics causing a reduction in off road performance. These alterations caused the outdoor off road advocates to dislike the Wranglers. The newly created Wrangler quickly became identified as the “Yuppie Jeep”. Once acknowledged for its versatility and adaptability, the outdoor and off road enthusiast began to accept the Wrangler.

In addition to the off road ruggedness and fun of the Wrangler, it is also a smart daily on road vehicle. The purchase price of the Jeep Wrangler is the lowest in comparison to the other 4×4 sports utility vehicles. The Jeep Wrangler has also been named as one of the best vehicles to hold its value. Not to mention, it also ranks in the top four for best resale value.

The Wrangler was designed and founded by AMC in 1987. After the unveiling of the Wrangler, AMC sold out to Chrysler, who then created the Jeep Division. The Wrangler was originally manufactured in Ontario Canada until the plant shut down in 1992. Manufacturing was then transferred to the Toledo Ohio plants where Wranglers are now generated from.

In 1997 Chrysler then redesigned the classic Wrangler adding additional features. The new features included a wider track width, lower center of gravity, higher ground clearance and anti-sway bars. The Wrangler held true to its original round headlight design but became more consumer friendly by become a better ride and added handling capabilities.

Trying to stay ahead of the market, Chrysler released yet another revised model of the Wrangler in 2007. The new design added features such as a four door model with longer body style and added passenger comfort. However, Chrysler reserved the two door shorter body style Wrangler for the outdoor off road fans. Appealing to a broader range of purchasers made the Wrangler even more popular than before.

Signifying rugged durable fun, the Wrangler has also embodied all aspects of a smart vehicle. Purchasers can rest assured that whether it is affordable fun or modern convenience, the Jeep Wrangler can offer both.

Jeep Commander is a product from the Jeep firm. Not to be outdone by its competitors, the Commander was released at the New York Vehicle Show. The year was 2005. The Commander steals the limelight from the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Fans and customers of Jeep vehicles had been complaining about the lack of a new SUV vehicle from Jeep. On its debut, the Commander looked different from the Grand Cherokee in distinct ways. First, the design style breaks away from the traditional style. Secondly, although the Commander is roughly the same size as the Grand Cherokee, it has more space and capacity than the Grand Cherokee.

Jeep is working hard to please its consumers. Todays car buyers have a lot of choice. There are a lot of competitors in seven-seat vehicles. Performance and looks are more important. It pays very well to fuse these two qualities. Especially on seven-seat vehicles. On the overall, customers will not be disappointed in the Jeep Commander. Coincidentally; the name ‘Commander’ is common among seven-seat car manufacturers. Maybe it sells.

Jeep is excited with its Jeep Commander vehicle. It remains to be seen how the Commander will perform against other SUVs. The Commander is also expected to perform better than its past models. The improvement in passenger space makes it unique. If this improvement translates into increased sales, Jeep will fulfil its mission. The Commander shares its name with two past models, the Studebaker Commander and the Scammell Commander.

When a Jeep Commander approaches around a corner, it attracts attention. Its boxy appearance is fascinating. One will think of the Commander as a military vehicle. The most interesting part of the Commander is its roof. The engineers designed the roof in a way which allows more head space at the rear. This feat is not easy to accomplish. Most SUV designers will avoid this at all costs because it gives the vehicle a cumbersome look. Jeep managed to overcome this problem by covering the roof grids and reducing the sharpness of corners.

Jeep is looking towards the future. The unveiling of the Jeep Commander is a turning point between the past and the future. The Commander represents the present. It is a working model on how future models should be designed. The engineers of the Commander used the eternal appearance of the old Jeep Wagoner and the performance requirements of the Grand Cherokee to produce a new model. The Commander has characteristics of these two vehicles. However; the Commander has its own unique features which dominate the entire vehicle.

We haven’t started discussing the Jeep Commander, until we talk about engine power. The Commander comes with three choices of engines. These are the V6 and two types of V8 engines. The first V8 engine has a capacity of 5. 7 liters. The second V8 engine has a capacity of 3. 7 liters. This engine package is convenient for different types of consumers. Types of drivers ranging from speed maniacs, rough terrain travellers and luggage packers will find it easy to select the proper engine. A note to speed lovers, the Commander is not made for speed though.

The Jeep Commander is a medium sized vehicle that satisfies the needs of SUVdrivers. Drivers of small SUVs are frustrated by the limited carrying capacity and large fuel consumption of small SUVs. Drivers of large SUVs are frustrated by the truck-like behaviour and large fuel consumption of large SUVs. Big SUVs don’t behave like ordinary petrol vehicles. They can be noisy and are not capable of smooth driving.

The Jeep Commander has not broken a record. The critics say. True, there is no new feature on the Commander, but it has succeeded in bringing affordability, economy, style and comfort on one plate. There is a market for this kind of vehicle, especially in this recession. A lot of SUVs on the market do not provide this convenience. The Commander came late on the scene. Jeep explains that the delay was due to specific refinements. Refinements on capacity and passenger seating. Sure, its hard to provide comfort on a seven passenger seat vehicle, but Jeep succeeded in this regard.

Spectators are waiting for the release of the next Commander. Jeep will be anxious to add new features to keep ahead of its competitors. The Jeep Commander 2007 model sports cool features in the form of platinum accents. This model is the Jeep Commander Overland. The Commander Overland looks like the Grand Cherokee. Platinum additions are visible on the side moulds; side roof railings, grilles and rear assist handling. Jeep also plans to introduce power lift gates for its Commander model. The Jeep Commander is one of the top vehicles searched by consumers on the internet.

Annual sales of the Jeep Commander have not been impressive. Jeep recorded a poor performance on its Commander model in February 2007. The Commander sales went down by 24%. However, the Commander was not the worst loser. The biggest loser was the Jeep Liberty which registered a 41% decline in sales. Slightly below the Commander is the Jeep Cherokee which declined by 22%. The Jeep brand had some face savers though. The Jeep Wrangler was the biggest winner with 63% increase in sales. Another winner, the Jeep Compass which made its debut in 2006 sold a promising 4, 071 units.
