All drivers know that operating a car can be extremely expensive, especially with today’s gasoline costs. Fortunately, there are many ways that a person can reduce the cost of driving.
Simply reducing the numbers of trips you need can significantly reduce driving costs. Try and combine trips, you could go to the grocery store and the discount store at the same time as a friend or neighbour, eliminate trips if you can, ask yourself do you want to drive across town to save a few bucks on groceries? Shopping right in your neighbourhood can save you money by cutting driving costs.
Try and see if you can change some of your driving with walking or bicycling. Doing errands on foot or a bike can save you money and help you get some exercise. Next time you want something you can buy, such as a six pack of beer or a drug walk to the store to pick it up if you can.
