After you have passed your theory test exam you need to pass practical driving test. The driving part of your test will last about 40 minutes. Throughout the practical test your examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving, including when you are carrying out the set exercises. You can make up to 15 driving faults and still pass the test (16 or more results in failure). However, if you commit one serious or dangerous fault you will fail the practical test. The practical test will include an eyesight check (if you fail this, your test will not continue). The eyesight test requires you to read a number plate that is a certain distance away. After the eyesight test you will be asked two vehicle safety check questions. You will then be examined on your general driving and on two reversing exercises. The reversing exercises will be chosen from:

Reversing around a corner

Turning in the road

Reverse parking

You may also be asked to carry out an emergency stop exercise. During the driving test the examiner will give you directions which you should follow. Test routes are designed to be as uniform as possible and will include a range of typical road and traffic conditions. During the practical test, the examiner will ask you to carry out set exercises. Throughout the test you should drive in the way your instructor has taught you. If you make a mistake, don’t worry about it, it might be a less serious driving fault and may not affect your result. The examiner will be looking for an overall safe standard of driving. You can make up to 15 driving faults and still pass the test (16 or more results in failure). However, if you commit one serious or dangerous fault you will fail the test. If at any time your examiner considers you to be a danger to other road users your test will be stopped. You are allowed to take someone with you on the test. This person must be over 16 years old and cannot take any part in the test. After the practical test When the practical test is over, the examiner will tell you whether you passed or failed. You can request feedback on your test from the examiner, who will then go through your performance during the test. If you pass…

If you pass and have a photo card driving license issued after 1 March 2004 the examiner will ask you if you want your full driving license issued to you automatically. If you want to use this service, the examiner will take your old license off you, scan the details and send them electronically to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). You will then be given a pass certificate to prove you passed your test. DVLA will then send you your new full license by post within three weeks of you passing your practical test. If you pass your test but do not want to use this automatic service, or have a license issued before 1 March 2004, you will be given a pass certificate by the examiner. On the back of the pass certificate it tells you what you need to do next. This involves sending your license and appropriate fee to DVLA who will then check your application and issue you with a new full license.

If you fail… If you fail the driving test you should ask the examiner for some feedback to help prepare yourself for your next test. Your driving report form will also show you where you made any mistakes. You can take another practical test 10 working days after your car or motorcycle test.

Driving test standards All examiners are trained to carry out the test to the same standard, they do not have pass or fail quotas. So as long as you demonstrate the standard required you will pass your driving test. Weather conditions/ mechanical problems etc DSA do not conduct practical tests in bad light or in adverse weather conditions for the safety of the candidate and the examiner. We will arrange another appointment at no further cost, but compensation is not payable. Candidates should call the telephone number quoted on the appointment letter to check whether their test will go ahead. If the driving test is not completed for reasons attributable to you or your vehicle, you will have to take another test at your own cost.

Second hand cars are bought mostly by people who don’t have enough money to buy a new car. I recommend people to consider a used car instead of a new one because it saves a lot of money and you get excellent value for money. They tell me that an old car might not work well but then you can always take a long test drive with the vehicle before buying, right? I have seen a lot of dealers having good collection of cars in their inventory which are in good condition. Even if you pick a car in bad condition and then spend some money on repairs, you still save a lot of money.

Value of a car depreciates really quickly and hence it is impractical to assume that a car is really bad if it has a low price tag. Very less people know that the price of a car goes down by 10 to 20 twenty percent once it is taken out of the store. And hence it is a great idea to buy a used car to save money. There are plenty of second hand cars in good working condition. Just be careful and do a thorough inspection before you buy the car or else all the money will be wasted.

When inspecting the second hand car I would recommend you to get personally involved in the process. You will get to know what all things needs to get fixed and how much do you need to spend on repairs. If you have a choice here, choose the car which requires less expenditure on repairs. Examine both the interior and exterior of the car. If you don’t know too much about cars, then get a mechanic with you for checking out the automobile. The dealer might offer a mechanic but be wary of him. The dealer’s mechanic might tell you that the damaged car is in good condition in order to get rid of it. The most important part of the car that needs to be checked is the engine. Finally, ask for a test drive to see how the vehicle fares on the roads. Check if the car engine emits any alarming noises out of it while driving.

If you are thinking of buying second hand cars, I would recommend you to start your search from the Internet. There are tons of cars offered there. Clicking mouse buttons for car search is better than going around your city looking for them. Also don’t get too intimidated if the price of the car is too high. The dealer puts a big price tag but you can easily bring it down through negotiations. Second hand cars have been handled before so make sure you don’t buy a car which doesn’t have any legal documents. These cars unregistered and thus they are against the law. The car might be stolen. If the car is insured get all the insurance papers from the dealer. Also ask him if there are any discounts available.

I recently had a wonderful Nissan Murano SUV for a week-long test drive. The Nissan Murano is a clean-looking, and functional SUV. The Murano is a mid-sized, family-oriented SUV that is attractive, versatile, and well-equipped.

The Murano was redesigned for 2009 and the 2010 model hasn’t been changed very much. The instrument panel has been rearranged and some of the gauges and interior are slightly more upscale. Some people like the exterior looks while others are somewhat critical. The fenders arch upwards and slightly out over the wheels. This is not unlike several other SUV’s, but I like the looks and think that it gives a strong, bold appearance.

The Nissan Murano is set on the same platform as the midsize Altima sedan, so it is classified as a “mid-size SUV.” It seats five comfortably and is available in three trim levels – S, SL, and LE. Our test model was the high-end LE, but with front-wheel drive. All the Murano models are available in either All-Wheel Drive or front-wheel drive. The deep red exterior color on the test model was called “Merlot.”

The Nissan Murano is powered by a 265 horsepower, 3.5 liter, V-6 engine matched with a Continuously Variable Transmission. The CVT automatic works well and the engine provides all the power needed for a mid-sized vehicle. Towing capacity is listed at 3,500 pounds, but that is enough for small camping trailers and boats.

The interior uses a lot of soft plastics wood tones, and more upscale materials than previous models. The instrument cluster is pleasingly arranged and uses a subdued orange lighting instead of the bright blue, black, or white more commonly found in SUV’s. The controls are easy to use and there are plenty of storage bins and compartments.

A long list of standard equipment was listed on the Spec Sheet as “comfort and convenience” items. These included an eight-way powered driver’s seat and a four-way powered passenger seat. Front and rear seats were heated and all upholstery was leather. A rearview backup camera was standard and I am definitely a big supporter of the backup camera for all vehicles. I like the powered tilt and telescoping steering wheel and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

For safety purposes, the Nissan Murano has front-side airbags, curtain-side airbags, traction control, antiskid system, tire-pressure monitoring, and electronic brake assist. It scored 5 stars in the government safety ratings for side crashes, 4 stars in frontal crash, and 4 stars in rollover tests.

Our test model had an MSRP of $36,580. The only add-on was floor mats at $185 and delivery charges of $800. The bottom sticker price showed $37,565. EPA fuel ratings for the Murano are 18 city and 23 highway, although I averaged 24 for the entire week of driving. Maybe I just didn’t put the pedal to the metal very often during the test drive period.

The 2010 Nissan Murano is a very functional and useful mid-sized SUV that looks good both inside and out. Check it out yourself at a Nissan dealership.

Test driving a car before purchasing is an absolute task that must be completed. Most people test drive a car for about ten minutes and decide to buy it. However, there are many steps you should take before even getting in the car. Always make a list of what you are looking for before you even get to the car dealership. Since people normally become so excited when finding their “perfect” car, they often times forget some of the most important details that are necessary when buying a car. Always make sure you love the color of both the interior and exterior. You will be looking at this car for many years to come, so do not compromise the color you desire most. Make sure the car is easy for you, and others to get in and out of. Always sit in both the front and back seats before even leaving the car lot for your test drive. This will assure everybody’s comfort when sitting in the car. Make sure there is adequate legroom and headroom when the seats are adjusted the way you would need them to be on a daily basis. Also make sure the guages and everything on the dashboard are easily read and understood by you. Another thing that most people forget is to always look in the trunk and make sure there is enough space for your specific needs.

While test driving the car there are many things you need to ask yourself and pay close attention to. Make sure the car is exactly what you want. Be sure to test out all of the accessories including the air conditioning, heat, radio, and any other accessories featured in the car. Make sure all of these features work properly and that there is nothing missing. Pay close attention to the engine and the brakes. Is the engine quiet? Do the brakes work properly? Make sure to test drive the car on different types of roads to ensure that the brakes are up to par. Also make sure the vehicle handles well and to your liking. Lastly make sure you are completely comfortable driving this car. You will probably be driving this car for a long time and you should not compromise anything you want in this car. There is a specific car to fit everyone’s needs, so as long as you’re precautious while taking careful steps in analyzing each car, you will find the perfect one.
