Toyota altis in 1.8l segment is the leader .My friend Rajesh maggo owns a Toyota altis and his wife Renu drives a corolla old shape 2004 model it has already done more than 2 lac km. But it still runs very smoothly .Average of corolla 2004 is more than 12kmpl. In more than 2years Ramesh has spent only Rs 8000 for its maintainence. I own a Honda civic. We usually go together for outings on weekends. Now this time we are going to Jim Corbett. We both are having nuclear families and are heading towards Jim Corbett in our cars. I am driving a civic and he is driving Toyota altis and we are racing towards Jim Corbett. As compared to Honda civic Toyota altis is always ahead, it is comfortable to drive even on rough terrains. It gives a good mileage as compared to Honda civic.Civic has a low ground clearance so is very bumpy on rough roads.

The next morning we went for river crossing . The water level was not that high so we were excited to cross it , sitting in our own cars. Then we laid a bet as to who would cross it properly and quickly ,but to my surprise I lost the bet as civic has a low ground clearance.Toyota altis gave a very good response. Infact altis can be compared to suv’s like Chevrolet captiva,Ford endeavour etc for it’s ground clearance and driving on rough terrains. The cabin space of altis is very spacious for a nuclear family ,the two kids sitting behind were very comfortable and happy to enjoy the spacious cabin. Now the next time I am planning to go by Toyota altis instead of civic. Infact the diesel version is comparatively good as the feul is cheaper but lets see which one is better in future for our day today use and also suits our outing habits. I have a limited budget so would prefer to go for used car instead of new car. I started searching the net and searched for used cars in Delhi. I came across carmantr.com , they had a lot of cars in their used car category. I found many cars according to my requirement and then finalized a car which was available at Jagat motors.

It’s a huge change from the massive SUVs of a decade ago, but it’s absolutely necessary to continue the progress that the auto industry has made over that decade. Lakewood Toyota Prius drivers have already found out what makes the Toyota brand so great: efficiency, reliability and progressive thinking. The innovation that Toyota brought to the market with the Prius made it one of the best small cars on the market to own, and we’re not the only ones who think so. But there’s another model in the Toyota lineup that delivers some of the best efficiency and reliability a small car can offer, and it’s the Toyota Corolla, a car that has been a staple of the Toyota lineup since the 60s.

More Americans have praised the Corolla than any other car of its kind, and BuyingAdvice.com recently profiled the Toyota Corolla, Prius and Echo as part of its “5 Most Reliable Small Cars.” It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone familiar with the small car market that Toyota would play such a dominant role in how small cars have changed over the years, and Brick, NJ used cars can attest to this fact.

Utmost Care!!! Utmost Care!!! The service I received with Gladstone Suzuki was of this utmost care, while friendly at the same time with out getting awkward. I would come to Auto Truck Source in Gladstone to purchase an additional Nissan Frontier truck again!

UNDERSTANDING!!! I just want to let everyone know what an amazing job Gladstone Suzuki did for me! Now I had been shopping with many dealerships in Beaverton on 122nd along with dealers on Mcgloughlin. I can’t tell you how significantly run around I got from almost all of them. I mean, yes I’m picky but I knew pretty significantly what I wanted vehicle wise, and knew what my budget was. not having naming any names there’s a number of other “Large” dealers on Mcgloughlin blvd where the salesman were really pushy, kind of rude on the phone etc. Not to mention calling some on the dealerships and driving all the way across town to see a car- then POOF- it sold within the 2 hours it took me to get there…Yeah thanks for the call to save me the trip. I worked with a guy by the name of Mike Case- at Gladstone Suzuki- he was exceptionally honest and upfront, worked with me showing me many several vehicles. Gladstone Suzuki was extremely professional and understanding and I got a excellent deal! devoid of the back and forth B.S. I got everywhere else.

The HKS hi power exhaust is available as an aftermarket hi powered exhaust for many makes and models including but not limited to: Acura, Mazda, Honda, Toyota, Ford, GM, Dodge, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Subaru. The HKS hi power exhaust is modeled after some of the GT racing in Japan for turbo charging and aspirated uses. HKS hi power exhausts incorporated the race inspired offset mufflers and pipes into street use that now offers more flow and higher PRM because the design is less restrictive. This is made by taking out bends that are not needed, and giving a straighter path for the exhaust.

When used as a supercharger, the HKS hi power exhaust lets more exhaust velocity through for better mid range boosts and more high RPM power. Those vehicles that are naturally aspirated will see better exhaust flow when the engine’s tuning levels go up. There are some silent HKS hi power exhaust versions that have a silencer inside the muffler. All of the HKS hi power exhaust systems are made out of stainless steel tips and mufflers, and some of these tips range in size from 96mm to 120 mm in diameter depending on make and model of the vehicle. Piping diameters range from 55mm-95mm depending on the make and model of vehicle application. There are special editions of carbon titanium HKS hi power exhausts that are only available for specific models of vehicle. These special versions are made of a carbon fibered wrap shell on the muffler, a titanium tip and piping that is made of polished stainless steel. Continue reading ‘HKS Hi Power Exhaust’ »

Vehicle Tested: 2010 Toyota Prius
Long term test: 7,000 miles
Vehicle from: cars4u.com
Conclusion: Third generation hybrid drives like a sporty luxury five door while delivering real-world 50 miles-per-gallon.

PROS:

* 50 mpg (3.8 litres per 100km in Canada) real world
* Solid real-car handling with sporty aspirations (for a Toyota)
* Small car exterior, mid-size car interior
* Understated luxury as only Toyota can manage
* Vastly improved ergonomics and instruments
* Sleek design with best drag co-efficient of any production car
* Quiet ride
* Seemless transition from electric to hybrid

CONS:

* Slightly less legroom versus 2009
* Depending on your point of view, CSV transmission (this reviewer liked its responsiveness)
* Price, although it is good value for the total package.

Toyota owns hybrid in the market, even though Honda was technically first. With the numbers of Prius models on the road surpassing many non-hybrid competitors, Toyota can claim the title of Hybrid “owner.” Its past generation downsides included: bizarre design (part of its mystique), underpowered drivetrain, and transition clunkiness.

All that changes with the new Prius. While retaining the best-in-class mileage ratings, even compared to Toyota’s other hybrid models, and some of the signature look, the third generation Prius 2010 model has gone “mainstream” enough to attract millions more to the marque. Currently they’re managing approximately 20,000 units sold per month in the US. The only real downside to a Prius is its price, but in the hybrid category it’s competitive. Where buyers sometimes stumble is when comparing the Prius (or any hybrid) to an economy four-banger at several thousand dollars less.

Abraham Blinick, Operations Manager at cars4u.com convinced me to review the car. “We sell and lease a lot of cars,” said Blinick. “This is the car I like so much I bought one myself. I like the design elements and definitely the functionality.” Continue reading ‘Long Term Road Test – Toyota Prius’ »

Soon after Toyota their own “Ultimate Celica” on the line: GT-Four ST165 in the Japanese domestic market (JDM). The GT-Four included full-time all wheel drive and a electronically controlled central locking differential. The turbo charged version of the GT-S 2. liter was rated at 190 HP which was the 3S-GTE engine. At the time the GT-S immediately took flagship as the Celica range and became the official Toyota rally car, for all 4 years of production.

In 1987 Toyota began to export the Celica GT-Four revised as the All-Trac Turbo in North America. The All-Trac became available in the 1988 US model year, the All-Trac system was also offered with the Corolla, Camry, Previa but without the turbo for a limited time. The North American version was rated 190 BHP, Toyota chose to keep the suspension the same and not modify it drastically. The ST165 chassis front suspension for the AWD GT-Four kept MacPherson struts with an anti-swaybar and strut tower brace, the rear employed struts with trailing link and twin lateral links per side + an anti-swaybar.
