For any car owner, it is a matter of great pride to drive a car that makes heads turn. And most of us would do anything to make our cars look attractive enough so as to ensure that. Thankfully, achieving it is not even difficult these days with the availability of a wide range of car accessories. One such accessory is the hubcap, which may be attached to the wheelers of a car (to its wheels). It adds to the appearance of your car, and in fact in many cases may also help in enhancing the performance of the vehicle.
Hubcaps vary greatly in price, and much depends on the quality of the hubcap as well as its design and size. One may opt for a used hubcap, or the so called “factory used hubcap”, for covering the wheels of their vehicles. They may be available at great discounts, especially at the local shops for automotive parts. Therefore, one may conclude that used hubcaps are a great way to ensure that you get the best quality hubcaps at the most reasonable prices. This is especially of a great advantage, since better the quality of the hubcap, the lesser are the chances of having the hubcap falling out in the middle of the road. Buick has been a mainstay of the American Auto Industry for GM for many decades. It has always been known as a good American vehicle for the masses. Its stylings were never over the top, its power always reliable, and its safety features compliant. It has been the go to car for people who were looking for a good safe reliable American made car. This has unfortunately led to its low sales over the past few years because people’s minds are thinking past the old-reliable stand by.
Buick’s have been known to be synonymous with grandparents, and hard candy. Over the past 2 years however, after the great GM closures and bailouts, Buick has begun to think outside their comfortably boring box and stepped into the high performance and great stylings category. Buicks are no longer just for the ‘folks’. The 2010 Lacrosse Luxury sedan is flipping buyer’s preconceptions on their ears. Offering all wheel drive, advanced technologies and safety features and stylings which are reminiscent of retro blended with modern. There is a renaissance happening and the Buick Lacrosse is at the top of the pile attracting new buyers to their dealerships. Continue reading ‘2010 Buick Lacrosse VS. Preconceptions’ »

Buying new cars can be expensive and so a lot of people opt for second hand or used cars, this doesn’t mean we’re getting anything less as a lot of people own cars for only a few years and considering they are built to last much longer than this brief period of time you could make significant savings by purchasing a used car instead.
The rules when buying anything that is used or second hand still apply though, whether you are buying the car from a dealership or an independent seller you need to be sure of the condition of the car and preferably test it before purchasing to know that the car is in good condition and worth buying. A driver’s first car is normally not the prettiest; you have just passed your test and now start looking for a car on the market. If you have passed when you first turn 17 you are unlikely to have a big budget to help you purchase your first car (unless your parents are feeling generous!). This means looking for second hand cars that fit within your budget. Don’t forget to leave some money spare though because your insurance is going to be quite high as well as running costs such as petrol and the dreaded MOT.
As you get older and start leave university and find your first job you may be able to afford a newer car. A car that you are proud to have and maybe even a brand new car, this is certainly a possibility as there are many different finance deals that are available. It is worth pointing out though, that certain cars may give you a bit of a reputation. Cars with modifications may seem like a good idea but in the long run may end up costing you more in insurance. General Motors’ contribution to the outsized SUV stable is the Hummer, a vehicle that has had a relatively short but equally contentious lifetime.
Based on the US Army’s Military High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle (MMWV or Hum-Vee), the Hummer is the layman’s answer to a tiny tank and its off-road capabilities are more than awe-inspiring.
The original version of this behemoth of automobiles was contracted by the US military and came resplendent with gun turrets and radar; additions that could arguably come in handy in particularly dodgy areas like the ‘Gang Capital of the Nation’, Los Angeles and the Bronx in New York City. The color of the vehicle you drive may seem like a superficial element. After all, it’s the form and the function that matters the most. However, given the choice, why shouldn’t you pick a car color that suits your style, preferences and personality? For many people, a car is so much more than just a utility object; it’s also a part of your property — something you own, take care of, proudly park in the garage and wash on Sundays. So what car color is right for you? Here are factors that you might want to keep in mind:
Popularity
Some people like to go with the flow and don’t mind having the same things that others do. If you like being one with the rest of the world or at least a percentage of the population, you might want to choose a car color depending on its popularity.
Based on car sales off the lot, some of the most popular car colors of late include: silver (top spot for several years now), white (always a close second), gray, black, blue and red. Light brown or beige, green, yellow and off white also enjoy a lot of attention.
