These days a lot of people are considering van leasing instead of other vehicles. Leasing of cars was generally popular before but the trend is quickly changing. Leasing has been always a popular way of enjoying a great vehicle without getting into any long term responsibility of owning a vehicle. Van leasing is a great way to drive in a luxury way without being stuck with a lot of obligations. The popularity of van leasing is now nearly equal to that of the other luxury vehicles or sports cars. Cars are good for small families but van leasing is a great way of transporting large families from place to place as well as useful for businesses.
Lot of people, are unaware of the fact that while leasing a car you actually get a lot less than what you get with van leasing. The best way to make a decision is to compare the pros and cons. Some of the most important advantages of van leasing are:
• The upfront charges that you have to pay are generally lower.
• A leased van will have a lower monthly payment
• Most of the times you will have the cost of service included with the monthly payment Continue reading ‘Things to Consider Before Van Leasing’ »

For small scale companies which require vans for spreading their business, leasing a van allows them to have the vehicle as they grow and establish themselves. After deciding that you should go for van lease, you must be very careful to choose the best company which can offer you the best deal. Comparison is one of the obvious and time tested methods to crack a deal which is most profitable for you. Mentioned below are some points which you should keep in mind before you decide for van lease:
1. The rates, options, models, and maintenance charges must be compared. A lot of companies offer varied rates so be careful especially if you are leasing a van for business purpose.
2. While comparing prices, make sure you gather information about same make and model of a van to avoid any disparity of partiality. This will allow you to get the best quote while van leasing. Continue reading ‘Things You Ought to Know Before Going For a Van Lease’ »

This may be stating the obvious, but when choosing a van for your business you need to pick one that meets the specific requirements of your particular business.
Size is important though bigger is not always better and you would be surprised at the number of people who buy a van that is actually bigger than they really need. That is just throwing your money away so buying a smaller vehicle is often a wise move. Of course you may occasionally need to carry extra large loads, demanding bigger capacity. But it is far cheaper to hire a van for those rare occasions than to purchase a large vehicle to begin with. Similarly it makes no sense at all to acquire a van that is too small. So work out the the size of van your business requires, and purchase one that fits those requirements.
An important decision when deciding on your choice of van is engine size. The type of journey it will be making should help determine your decision. Frequent long hauls, such as on motorways may demand a larger engine that is fuel efficient. If you are driving mainly in an urban environment, a smaller engine should be considered, especially one with a “stop start” facility which automatically switches itself off when the vehicle becomes stationary which is a great money saver. Vauxhall Commercial Vehicles recently carried out a survey of van hire customers regarding the vans they had driven and how they felt they performed, especially when compared to the cars these occasional van users normally drive. The results are very positive and really bring to light the way vans have developed over the past few years.
1,000 people who had recently hired a van, be it Vauxhall or otherwise, were surveyed, these people being occasional users, needing the larger load capacity for moving home or transporting large items. One of the biggest indicators of how well the van has developed is that a full 90% of respondents were happy with the comfort and specification of the van they had used. Many Vauxhall vans now come fitted as standard with electric windows and air conditioning, matching the standards of cars. Even a few years ago these were unheard of fitments in vans so it is obvious that these light commercial vehicles have really come a long way in a short space of time. Does your business rely on a luxury transportation service to drive you and/or you clients to important meetings? Or, perhaps, you use a transportation service to handle your personal leisure time travels. Either way, it is critical that your transportation service delivers on what it promises. If not, then it is not really a luxury transportation service. It becomes little more of a hassle than a help. That is why it is critical to make sure your luxury transportation service is delivering the top quality service a client should expect.
It is always important to select a transportation service that has a good reputation in the field. Quality car companies will develop a good name for themselves in the industry. Good names are not easy to come by in the business world. There are just too many quality competitors out there for a weak transportation service to develop a solid name. So, when a luxury transportation service has developed a solid name in the industry, you can take the reputation on face value. More than likely, the name is well deserved. What Affects the Cost of Van Insurance?
Ultimately there are many factors which can affect the cost of insuring your van (or vans). Detailed below are a list of key factors which insurers will consider when pricing up your policy:
1. How many vans are to be covered in the policy
2. The weight of the van (s)
3. The make and model of the van (s)
4. Your geographical location
5. The age and experience of the van drivers
6. Whether or not the van drivers are named (or an ‘any driver’ van insurance policy is required)
7. The security of the van(s) – e.g. whether alarms, immobilisers or trackers are installed
8. Claim history
9. What the van will be used for
10. The excess Continue reading ‘Van Insurance – A Guide’ »

Couriers are usually regarded as “high risk” for motor insurers. Van drivers statistically have a higher accident rate than private vehicles, their exposure on the roads is far greater than that of a private motor car, therefore dramatically increasing the chances of a road traffic incident. The vehicles are more often than not owned by a company or fleet and drivers are less likely to worry about the damage they may cause to the vehicle.
Courier van drivers, also referred to as the ‘White van man’ are notoriously known for being involved in road traffic accidents. Couriers can be up against tight pick up and delivery time slots, and some are even incentivized on the amount of collections and deliveries they make. This can encourage the drivers to race around town and hence are prone to more incidents. Insurers take this into consideration when quoting this type of risk and the premiums quoted are a reflection of the claim statistics. “Man and His van Removals how can we help”
Blah, Blah, Blah……..
“06.15 is the time we leave the depot to get to your house madame”
“Why So early”
“So we don’t have to sit in the traffic for so long”
This is the standard response to countless enquiries these days. Traffic is a glue that is clogging up our harbour city and surrounds these days. The constant increase in population, expensive and not enough, public transport does not help the situation to a stress free Sydney. Continue reading ‘An early move is a happy move’ »
